Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Site Management Assistant to join our dynamic construction team. This role will be pivotal in supporting the management of our extensive construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
As a Site Management Assistant, your duties will include:
- Assisting in the oversight of all construction management activities on-site.
- Collaborating closely with subcontractor teams to monitor and report on their progress.
- Communicating any issues or concerns regarding the project timeline to the Site Manager.
- Identifying risks and opportunities, and proposing mitigation strategies to ensure timely project completion.
- Ensuring that all Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) are in place and appropriate for the tasks being performed.
- Supporting the implementation of the Project Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan, ensuring compliance with stakeholder requirements.
- Facilitating site progress meetings to enhance the organization of labor on-site.
- Understanding potential change orders and their implications on the project.
- Promoting a strong team culture that encourages open communication among project teams.
- Working alongside the Site Manager to review actual construction progress and maintain an updated project schedule.
- Adhering to Galliard's Construction Build Policy and Procedures.
- Ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in managing subcontractors and ensuring service quality.
- An understanding of modern construction techniques, including reinforced concrete structures and cladding systems.
- Relevant educational qualifications, such as HNC in Construction Management or a related field.
- Previous experience in high-rise residential construction.
- Certifications including SMSTS, Fire Marshall, and Scaffold Inspection.
