Role Overview
The Premium Kitchen Shift Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of the production plating floor. Responsibilities encompass supervising daily production tasks, addressing and resolving challenges that may arise, and maintaining a safe and hygienic workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure production processes comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Complete all necessary documentation for compliance with regulations accurately.
- Communicate clear expectations to team members and assess their performance.
- Facilitate training for staff, monitor their progress, and provide ongoing support to help them meet their objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of production personnel and supervisors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Indirectly oversee a large group of staff.
- Ensure that personal and team conduct aligns with business needs.
- Implement emergency response protocols as necessary.
- Regularly inspect machinery and workflow checkpoints to guarantee safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure adherence to Food Safety and Personal Hygiene Procedures at all times.
- Uphold the highest standards of quality and food safety within your shift.
- Identify and address areas of concern, proposing solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with all company guidelines, including HACCP, Food Safety regulations, and PPE protocols.
- Compile production reports and provide updates to senior management.
- Manage the repair or replacement of malfunctioning production equipment.
- Ensure efficient and correct use of all resources and assets.
- Meet production schedules consistently.
- Execute assigned tasks to ensure timely delivery of finished plating dishes.
- Identify and manage non-conformances effectively.
- Promote an "audit-ready" culture by exemplifying best practices.
- Communicate promptly and effectively with managers from other departments regarding any issues that may affect operations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 3-5 years of management experience in high-volume food service or food manufacturing.
- Understanding of allergen management.
- Knowledge of food safety legislation.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Previous experience in Flight Catering is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HACCP, Food Legislation, and Food Hygiene.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
- Ability to work independently to resolve issues efficiently.
- Skilled in building relationships and managing diverse teams.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive and adaptable attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in leadership roles.
- Able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate certification in applied HACCP principles.
- Approach challenges positively, viewing them as opportunities for growth.
- Capable of planning and organizing team activities to balance proactive and reactive tasks.
Work Hours
- 40 hours per week with varying shifts.
- Shifts may include Morning, Middle, Late, or Night as required.
