Position Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and quality of products produced on-site, adhering to established quality specifications and standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with airline agreements and will actively participate in customer audits. Your focus will be on implementing processes that enhance quality and traceability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and tests on food products sourced from external suppliers and our internal kitchens.
- Facilitate monthly menu updates, ensuring specifications are ready and providing support on the production floor for seamless operations.
- Verify product weights against airline specifications.
- Carry out internal audits related to food safety and quality.
- Monitor meal preparation by general assistants to ensure compliance with customer expectations, providing feedback to relevant departments.
- Assist in customer audits, including meal tasting and evaluation.
- Maintain accurate food safety documentation records.
- Engage in Root Cause Analysis and corrective action activities as necessary.
- Oversee unit activities to ensure timely updates of all reports.
- Collaborate closely with the production team to manage product rotation, including FIFO practices.
- Ensure adherence to HACCP principles and Good Hygiene Practices at all operational levels.
- Coordinate with the compliance department regarding any issues.
- Plan and oversee cleaning processes as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Essential:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within a food-related environment.
- Awareness and practical management of allergens.
- Understanding of food safety legislation.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Basic knowledge of microbiology related to food safety.
Desirable:
- Experience in Flight Catering.
- Familiarity with HACCP, Food Legislation, and Food Hygiene.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong relationship-building skills and experience managing diverse teams.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Proactive and adaptable attitude.
- Intermediate certification in applied HACCP principles.
Work Schedule:
- 40 hours per week with varying shifts.
- Shifts may include Morning, Middle, and Late.
