Senior Marketing Strategist – Inflight Retail

easyJet is on a mission to establish the premier airline retail experience, and we are seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic Inflight Retail team within the Marketing division. This team is responsible for crafting a fully integrated retail marketing strategy that positively impacts our financial performance.

Our goal is to remain at the forefront of evolving consumer preferences in areas such as food, beauty products, and general merchandise. We aim to harness technological advancements and cultivate robust partnerships with brands and retailers, all within the distinctive context of airline operations.

In this newly established role, you will report directly to the Inflight Retail Marketing Lead, focusing on the development and execution of marketing strategies for Inflight Retail Marketing propositions and the launch of new products. Collaboration will be key as you work alongside Inflight Retail Managers, the Marketing team, and various internal stakeholders, including CRM, Digital, and Content teams, as well as external agencies to bring marketing campaigns and creative materials to fruition for our Inflight offerings, particularly concerning Pre-Order and Order to Seat initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate an insight-driven marketing strategy, overseeing the complete Inflight customer journey and determining optimal interaction points to enhance customer experiences and drive revenue growth.

- Execute the marketing plan while managing the creative development and rollout of Inflight Retail marketing campaigns throughout the post-booking lifecycle, utilizing various channels such as paid and organic media, CRM, push notifications, and web communications. You will also establish, monitor, and report on commercial KPIs.

- Lead the marketing strategy and implementation plan for Order to Seat and Pre-Order initiatives, leveraging customer, market, and competitor insights to achieve defined commercial KPIs.

- Oversee the end-to-end management of Inflight Retail campaigns across all channels to support the introduction of new propositions, including CRM, social media, brochures, and digital assets related to the pre-order website and onboard Wi-Fi systems.

- Gain a deep understanding of the customer journey and insights related to Inflight Retail, developing effective communication strategies across all touchpoints while ensuring alignment with easyJet's brand and marketing objectives. Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to design and implement impactful strategies and campaigns.

- Through a test-and-learn approach, support the launch of initiatives aimed at driving quality traffic and conversion onboard, while evaluating and measuring all campaigns to ensure a favorable return on marketing investment and progress against established metrics.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a marketing role, either on the client side or agency side, with a focus on a large consumer brand, preferably in a retail context.

- Comprehensive understanding of the marketing campaign lifecycle, from planning and briefing to creative development, production, and performance measurement, with strong creative judgment.

- Proven commercial acumen with experience in delivering retail marketing content that demonstrates measurable success.

- Ability to analyze customer insights and translate them into actionable implementation plans.
