Role Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, your primary focus will be ensuring the safety and quality of products produced on-site, adhering to established quality standards and specifications. You will engage in customer audits and implement processes aimed at enhancing compliance with Quality and Traceability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and tests on food products sourced from both external suppliers and our internal kitchens.
- Oversee the readiness of monthly menu changes, ensuring specifications are prepared and supporting smooth operations on the shop floor.
- Verify product weights against airline specifications.
- Carry out internal audits related to food safety and quality.
- Ensure compliance with customer expectations by weight-checking meals prepared by staff and providing feedback.
- Assist in customer audits, including meal tasting and evaluation.
- Maintain comprehensive food safety documentation records.
- Engage in Root Cause Analysis and corrective action activities as necessary.
- Supervise unit activities to ensure timely updates of all reports.
- Collaborate closely with the production team to manage product rotation, including FIFO practices.
- Ensure adherence to HACCP principles and Good Hygiene Practices at all operational levels.
- Coordinate with the compliance department regarding any issues.
- Plan and oversee cleaning processes as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within a food-related environment.
- Practical knowledge of allergen management.
- Understanding of food safety legislation.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Basic understanding of microbiological safety.
Desirable:
- Experience in Flight Catering.
- Familiarity with HACCP, Food Legislation, and Food Hygiene.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and resolve issues effectively.
- Capability to build relationships and manage diverse teams.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Proactive and adaptable attitude.
- Intermediate certification in applied HACCP principles.
Working Hours:
- 40 hours per week with variable shifts, including Morning, Middle, and Late shifts.
