Role Overview: The Premium Kitchen Shift Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless operations on the production plating floor. This role encompasses supervising daily production tasks, addressing and resolving any challenges that may arise, and maintaining a safe and hygienic workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure production processes comply with both company standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Complete all necessary documentation to meet regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Communicate clear expectations to team members and assess their performance.
  • Facilitate training for staff, monitor their progress, and provide continuous support to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Lead and inspire a team of production staff and supervisors, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Indirectly manage a large group of personnel.
  • Ensure that personal and team conduct aligns with business needs.
  • Implement emergency response protocols during critical situations.
  • Regularly inspect machinery and operational checkpoints to guarantee a safe and effective workflow.
  • Ensure adherence to Food Safety and Personal Hygiene procedures, as well as company policies.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality and food safety within your shift.
  • Identify and rectify areas of concern, proposing alternative strategies to boost productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with all company guidelines, including HACCP, Food Safety regulations, and PPE protocols.
  • Compile production reports and provide updates to senior management.
  • Oversee the repair or replacement of malfunctioning production equipment.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources and assets.
  • Meet production schedules consistently.
  • Execute assigned tasks to guarantee timely delivery of finished plating dishes.
  • Identify and manage non-conformances effectively.
  • Foster an 'audit-ready' culture by exemplifying best practices.
  • Communicate promptly and effectively with managers from other departments regarding any issues that may affect operational efficiency.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of management experience in a high-volume food service or food manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of allergen management and awareness.
  • Familiarity with food safety legislation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience in Flight Catering is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, Food Legislation, and Food Hygiene standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve issues proactively.
  • Skilled in building relationships and managing diverse teams.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess a proactive and adaptable attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in leadership roles.
  • Capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate certification in applied HACCP principles.
  • Approach challenges positively, viewing them as opportunities for personal growth.
  • Ability to plan and organize both personal and team activities effectively.

Work Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week with flexible shifts.
  • Shifts may include Morning, Middle, Late, or Night as required.
