Care and Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Children's Worker to join our team at Derbyshire County Council. As a Residential Children's Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children and young people in our residential children's homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner services to support children and their families.
- Embed the therapeutic ethos of Derbyshire Residential Services within the homes, ensuring that all areas of a child's care address their holistic needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with children and young people, using relationship-focused and psychologically informed working practices.
- Hold, be working towards, or be willing to undertake and complete within 2 years of starting work at the home, the Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma and Social Care Pathway (England) or an equivalent qualification.
