Senior Programme Officer Job Description

Signature Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Programme Officer to provide administrative support to our client, a leading London University. This temporary assignment requires a strong administrative professional to join our team on a hybrid working structure, with three days on campus and two working from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative assistance to students, academics, and other stakeholders, including inbox management, data entry, and creating module updates using university-specific software packages.
  • Student Enquiries: Confidently support the Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks, including coordinating student enquiries ahead of the new academic year and triaging when necessary.
  • Module Updates: Liaise with students during the term to update modules and deal with Mitigating Circumstance Forms (MCFs) and Examination Boards.
  • Committee Servicing: Assist with general committee servicing, including calendar invites, agenda, and producing well-written Minutes.
  • Events and Activities: Assist with events and activities, working flexibly as part of a team to facilitate the smooth running of the department.
Key Skills:
  • Organisation and Communication: Good organisation, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work professionally with a range of stakeholders.
  • IT Skills: Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Forms, and Zoom/Teams, with experience of learning management systems such as Moodle and other student record systems.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to multitask while maintaining a strong attention to detail with good data entry.
  • Proactivity: Proactive and adept at mastering new concepts, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
