Howden - Corporate & Commercial is seeking a Client Relationship Executive to assist in managing clients' insurance needs, including general inquiries, renewals, mid-term adjustments, obtaining quotes, and invoicing premiums. You will engage with our SME clients and possess a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the achievement of Group/Division client retention goals by delivering outstanding service.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Account Executive to devise suitable renewal strategies, attend client meetings as required, and follow up on action points.
  • Conduct market assessments to identify the most competitive terms available.
  • Present renewal terms to clients and issue renewal documentation in accordance with contract certainty.
  • Ensure premiums are collected prior to the commencement of coverage and in line with company procedures.
  • Address all inquiries, whether written or verbal, professionally and process them in accordance with service standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all relevant information, correspondence, and documentation on the designated platform.
  • Produce precise and professional documentation using the appropriate company templates.
  • Process adjustments in accordance with procedures, including notifying insurers, issuing revised documentation, and collecting additional premiums.
  • Actively promote products from other divisions.
  • Collaborate with and support other branches and Group Resources as necessary.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Proficient understanding of the primary classes of General Insurance and adherence to the CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with SME or commercial clients.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong technical insurance skills, assessed through regular in-house evaluations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to process tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional client service abilities.
  • Good negotiation and brokering skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to gather and analyze client information.
  • Ability to adapt communication to suit individual client understanding.
  • Skill in persuading and influencing others.
Qualifications:
  • GCSEs A-C in Maths & English.
  • Cert CII (desirable).
  • Experience with Acturis (desirable).
