**Job Summary**

As a Fire Safety Officer at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our patients, staff, and visitors. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the development and delivery of fire safety training, audits, and risk assessment services.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and deliver fire safety training programs for staff, including mandatory training, fire team training, fire marshal training, and ward drills and evacuation training.
  • Provide expert advice and support on fire safety issues, maintaining and developing specialist knowledge on relevant legislation and guidance.
  • Support the Lead Fire Safety Officer in ensuring the Trust meets its statutory regulatory requirements relating to fire safety, including provision, coordination, and delivery of a robust site-specific training schedule.
  • Assess and renew the delivery and uptake of training, reporting findings as required, and maintaining a clear and comprehensive register of all training undertaken.
  • Support the development, dissemination, and implementation of the Trust Fire Safety Policy and associated fire safety management system, working with operational managers to ensure fire safety is managed in line with the policy.
  • Coordinate and deliver audits arising from departmental fire risk assessments, proactively supporting departments with remedial actions where indicated, and identifying areas for improvement.
