Job Description

Job Title: Head of Security

Job Summary:

Momentum Security Recruitment is seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Security to lead our in-house security function at a high-profile location in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the operational delivery of site security, leading on the strategic planning of the security function, and overseeing the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assignment instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Delivery: Manage the operational delivery of site security, ensuring the safety and security of our employees, visitors, and assets.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead on the strategic planning of the security function, developing and implementing plans to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • SOPs and Assignment Instructions: Oversee the creation and implementation of SOPs and assignment instructions, ensuring that all security personnel are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Staff Management: Conduct and monitor staff appraisals, encourage further development, and provide training and development opportunities to security personnel.
  • Incident Management: Respond to and manage incidents, ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed and that the incident is resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Property and Facilities, to ensure a seamless and secure working environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in managing the delivery of operational and/or strategic security in a corporate environment.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of security personnel.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop plans to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of security industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
