Position Overview

This is a ***Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity*** aimed at enhancing the future of the nursing and midwifery workforce.

The Norfolk and Waveney region is poised for significant advancements, including the establishment of new healthcare facilities and the implementation of integrated care systems. This environment fosters collaboration among various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective healthcare through a well-trained and motivated workforce.

The Integrated Care System (ICS) in Norfolk and Waveney presents a unique opportunity to cultivate a robust Clinical Learning Environment. This role involves collaboration with educational institutions, employers, and students to expand capacity and create a supportive learning atmosphere for emerging healthcare professionals.

We are looking for a dedicated individual to take on the role of Programme Lead, working closely with the ICB Education Team to enhance the Clinical Learning Environment across the region.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with colleagues to establish a framework for collecting baseline data regarding the number and distribution of profession-specific student placements.
  • Identifying methods to assess the quality of placements offered to students.
  • Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data to formulate cross-organizational quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that the region provides equitable and high-standard clinical learning environments.

This role is funded by NHS England, with the objective of assisting Trusts in meeting the targets outlined in the NHS People Plan, thereby increasing the clinical workforce to address future demands.

Qualifications and Experience
