Role Overview

The Corporate Account Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering relationships with both existing and prospective clients to effectively market and sell the company's offerings. This position entails overseeing the entire contract renewal process, collaborating with various departments such as Sales, Legal, and Finance to ensure seamless operations. Key responsibilities include negotiating contracts, maintaining sales force automation systems, and managing all facets of the sales renewal process. The Corporate Account Manager will guide the sales journey from initial engagement to closure, utilizing resources efficiently throughout the sales cycle for strategic opportunities while clearly communicating the value of Sovos' products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new sales leads within the designated territory to expand the client base.
  • Promote and sell SaaS solutions to potential clients.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Uphold integrity and ethical standards in all interactions with stakeholders.
  • Ensure satisfaction for both internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to generate innovative ideas and strategies for business development.
  • Utilize various communication methods effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Execute effective territory planning and management.
  • Skillfully ask questions to identify client needs and uncover new opportunities.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model within the organization, sharing best practices and insights.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end sales cycles.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Business Development Representative or quota-carrying sales role, preferably in software solutions.
  • Familiarity with contact management solutions is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events may be necessary.
  • Ability to engage effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Capable of understanding and communicating complex concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve intricate problems.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology for communication and work requirements.
  • Proactive in seeking learning opportunities.
  • Understand product functionality from a support perspective.
