About the Role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Property Services finance function, to assist in ensuring the provision of providing quality and timely management information to pillar management and the UL Group finance function.

The specific role will focus on supporting the delivery of a reliable Management accounting service to the business to a consistently high quality, supporting all internal and external accounting and reporting requirements, ensuring all support is delivered to a high standard and in accordance to reporting timescales.

The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring management information is on time, accurate and understandable, and will work closely with the FD/FC/MAs in provision of divisional management information in line with Group and pillar MD requirements.

The role will also involve:

  • Bi-weekly cashflow forecasts
  • Supporting the Financial Controller
  • Processing monthly contract accounting
  • Allocation of cost correctly to projects
  • Ensuring the correct IT set-up of new projects and employees
  • Ageing WIP analysis
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations

We are looking for a candidate with an interest in and experience in commercial / project accounting and management reporting, who is genuine in their desire to work across disciplines (Commercial, Construction & Group Finance). The ideal candidate will be studying towards a recognised Finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA), and will have accurate and numerate skills, as well as being highly computer literate including Advanced Excel.

Experience operating variants of Microsoft Dynamics NAV platforms is also desirable, as is experience of change management - introduction of new systems and processes.

The role will be based in our Swanley office, with possible 2-3 days travel per month (potentially overnight) to other Property Services offices.
