Job Description: Strategic Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in driving commercial success and added value across the Group by negotiating best-value frameworks and agreements aligned with our Supply Chain Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute contracts with key supply chain partners, ensuring they align with strategic procurement processes and deliver optimal value.
  • Manage strategic relationships with key suppliers through regular reviews and information exchange, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement in quality and service levels.
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to Group Frameworks, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and mitigating any potential risks or deviations.
  • Identify and maximize rebate opportunities across all business units, working closely with finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Collaborate with business units and preferred suppliers to identify and capitalize on value enhancement, innovation, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our Sub-Contractor Database, ensuring its alignment with third-party data sources and leveraging it for risk management and performance analysis.
  • Analyze supply chain data, identifying trends and insights that inform strategic decision-making and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Champion a culture of performance measurement and accountability within the supply chain, embedding best practices and driving tangible results.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance procurement strategies and optimize supplier relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in strategic procurement within a construction or related industry.
  • Construction and/or Business-related Qualifications (NVQ, BSc, BA, MSc).
  • MCIPS qualification is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in IT tools, particularly Excel, PowerBi, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
