Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to provide day-to-day clerical support to the Health Records team at NHS Fife.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Health Records team, including preparing and scanning medical casenotes and ED cards, and uploading them to the clinical portal.
- Rotate through various roles within the department, including Libraries, Discharge Tidy, and Scanning.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient operation of the Health Records department.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow.
Requirements:
- Relevant administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on data quality and integrity.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a busy and dynamic environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- May be required to work in a variety of settings, including offices, libraries, and other areas within the hospital.
- May be required to lift and handle heavy case note folders and to bend and stretch to retrieve case notes from shelving.
- May be required to move large volumes of boxes to perform various aspects of the role.
