We are currently offering two positions for the role of Audio Typist within the Trauma & Orthopaedic Department:

  • 1 x 30-hour position spread over 5 days from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • 1 x 14-hour position spread over 2 days from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Please be advised that the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for part-time hours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a thorough typing service to Orthopaedic Consultants, Nurse Specialists, Extended Scope Practitioners, and junior staff within the dynamic Trauma & Orthopaedic Department, in addition to supporting the secretarial team. Occasional assistance in other administrative roles may also be required. This position demands a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your initiative and skills to manage your workload effectively, ensuring timely completion of typing tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of professionals.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced keyboard skills and experience with audio typing systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work independently and utilize initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload efficiently.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Trust Policies and Procedures.
  • Knowledge of various patient administration systems.
