An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Controls Manager within our organization.

This position is integral to the BAT Exports Finance Team. The primary objective of this role is to establish and maintain effective risk and control management processes for Exports, ensuring that governance-related procedures are implemented and followed diligently.

Key responsibilities include:

Keeping the Exports Statement of Delegated Authorities (SoDA) current, reflecting any modifications in operational practices and organizational structure. Assisting control operators in executing controls, particularly in clarifying SOx evidencing requirements. Collaborating with BCT and KPMG on control-related initiatives, including facilitating process walkthroughs and providing necessary information for audits. Overseeing the Control Navigator exercise and coordinating with control owners to ensure effective remediation plans are established and executed. Managing the Risk Management & Review process, including the Risk Committee and Risk register for Exports. Evaluating and approving SAP role requests, monitoring segregation of duty concerns, and ensuring appropriate mitigating controls are in place. Ensuring supplier master data is reviewed and maintained in accordance with data management protocols. Keeping the Business Continuity Plan for Exports relevant and up to date.

What we seek:

A degree with an accountancy qualification or partial qualification; Proficiency in SAP and MS Office; Familiarity with the cigarette, leaf, and emerging categories business, along with related supply chain and financial processes; Experience in control management and SOx compliance; Strong influencing, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior management at all levels; A proactive individual capable of identifying solutions to new challenges.
