JOB PURPOSE

We are in search of a proactive Head of Business Finance to become an integral part of our team. This pivotal role is essential for enhancing financial performance and aligning with the company's strategic objectives through proficient financial oversight and informed decision-making.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the financial dimensions of the company's operations. This includes optimizing data organization and systems for effectiveness, engaging in strategic planning, conducting financial analysis, and making decisions that foster profitability and support growth initiatives.

This position is ideal for individuals aspiring to advance into a leadership role, possessing management experience alongside a robust financial background.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Organization: Ensure a structured data framework to facilitate informed business decisions, enhancing systems, analytics, and establishing dashboards that promote a data-driven decision-making culture.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Develop and oversee comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts across all brands, markets, and operations. Analyze financial data to derive insights into the performance of various business segments.

Commercial Strategy Development: Collaborate closely with business teams to formulate strategies aimed at maximizing revenue and profitability, including pricing strategies, product profitability assessments, and the evaluation of new business ventures.

Financial Analytics & Reporting: Guarantee the provision of accurate and timely financial analytics and reporting. This encompasses the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and the presentation of financial performance to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the Financial Accounts department on metrics and measurements.

Business Partnering: Serve as a financial advisor and collaborator to the company's COO and stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations to aid in decision-making. This involves working in conjunction with Brands, Sales & Marketing, Operations, and Financial Accounts teams to synchronize financial goals with overarching business objectives.

Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks linked to commercial activities, implementing strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.

Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of business activities, tracking sales metrics, profits, stock performance, and other relevant indicators to evaluate the success of commercial strategies.

Financial Forecast Modelling: Responsible for developing key financial models to assess new opportunities, including new markets and brands.

System & Process Improvement: Collaborate with business stakeholders, the IT department, and Financial Accounts to enhance systems analytics, design automated analytics dashboards, and review data input and extraction processes as necessary.
