Commercial Finance Manager

JSS Search is pleased to partner with a thriving organization in the recruitment of a new Commercial Finance Manager. This role presents a remarkable opportunity for an ACA qualified accountant with audit experience to acquire operational month-end, commercial accounting, and financial planning and analysis expertise within a dynamic business environment, with potential for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will oversee the financial accounting, analysis, and management reporting for a specific division. Duties will encompass:

  • Preparation of monthly divisional results, including a 5-Year rolling profit forecast and cash flow analysis, along with the Annual Budget and Half-Year Reforecast.
  • Ownership of the monthly reporting cycle for the division, ensuring precise and timely dissemination of all financial data.
  • Assistance in the development of divisional board reports.
  • Creation of ad hoc management reports to support critical business decisions.
  • Enhancement and implementation of financial processes and control frameworks within the division.
  • Conducting financial due diligence on all tender submissions.
  • Reviewing contracts to pinpoint essential financial, compliance, and insurance obligations.
  • Supporting the renewal process of annual insurance policies and ongoing insurance oversight.
  • Preparation of financial planning and scenario modeling as necessitated by the business.

Candidate Profile:

  • We seek a fully ACA qualified accountant with audit training.
  • Exceptional communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Excel; modeling skills are a plus.
  • Experience in month-end processes, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting is required.
  • Experience in Property, Real Estate, or Construction sectors is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary in the range of £70,000-£80,000, complemented by a bonus structure of 10-15%.
