The Senior Finance Operations Manager will oversee the financial operations across various departments within Skanska. This role encompasses budget management, cost control, financial reporting, and the establishment of robust financial governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a central finance team of three, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial business partnering services.
- Create, maintain, and improve timely, precise, and insightful financial reports for central enabling functions.
- Direct S&A reporting for the Business Unit, collaborating closely with finance teams across the Operating units.
- Guarantee the completion of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting obligations.
- Spearhead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for central enabling functions and legacy divisions of Skanska UK.
- Oversee the central recharging mechanism, prioritizing transparency and simplification.
- Ensure adherence to financial governance across central enabling functions, in accordance with Skanska Finance Policies & Procedures, while upholding high standards of internal financial control.
- Continuously enhance processes and reporting to mitigate risks and promote efficient practices.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, facilitating their development and conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Assist the Group Financial Controller with various ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Professional accounting qualification, such as ACA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in line management.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and HFM systems.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and analytical self-starter with a proactive mindset.
- Strong commercial awareness and acumen.
