Education Leader

At Serco Limited, we are seeking an experienced Education Leader to join our team at HMP Ashfield, an adult male sex offender prison in South Gloucestershire. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for creating a prisoner education service focused on work-based training and personal development pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a coherent approach to all areas of Education, Skills and Work, ensuring that sequencing of activities is purposeful and directed towards maximising prisoners' opportunities to access employment, education and training on release.
- Work closely with education providers, prison industries and local private enterprise to make the most appropriate use of workshops and all other prisoner places of work.
- Ensure that all activities are structured around the 5 pillars of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework, supporting other function heads within the prison to maximise this approach in areas of prisoner residence and social interaction.
Requirements:
- Relevant Degree in Education, PGCE, Cert Ed or Level 5 Teaching Qualification, QTS or QTLS Status.
- Substantial education teaching experience and curriculum development.
