About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco Gloucester Witcombe Express. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the store's daily operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience, and leading a team of colleagues to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Lead and motivate a team of colleagues to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain a clean and safe store environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve store performance, including inventory management, stock control, and visual merchandising.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets, promote products, and drive business growth.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a retail or customer-facing role, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
