Lead Data Engineering Team at Avantis Education

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Leader to join our team at Avantis Education. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our data management and data operations functions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data operations strategy and roadmap for internal business intelligence, automation, and tracking of internal metrics.
  • Design and implement data architecture, including business intelligence, CRM integrations, data warehouses, lakes, and ETL processes.
  • Oversee the development of real-time analytics, ensuring speed and accuracy of live feedback for enhancing user engagement and operational capabilities.
  • Establish and ensure data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team of data professionals, focusing on collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Foster an open data culture within the business, creating data flows between teams and driving data knowledge.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to enhance data operations capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in data governance, data management, ETL processes, and data architecture.
  • Proficiency in data warehousing and pipeline development, data management tools, and platforms.
  • Experience with CRM integrations, business intelligence, and development of observability tools.
  • Programming languages and file formats, experience with code control tools, and project management tools.
  • Leadership experience in teams using scrum and agile methodologies.

Good to Have:

  • Experience in EdTech or full-stack solutions for hardware and SaaS.
  • Experience in data compliance, such as COPPA and GDPR-K.
