We are seeking an exceptional individual with strong strategic leadership and people management skills, and an unwavering commitment to human rights, above all the rights of people in detention.
Our new Director will be leading the organisation in a period of both challenges and opportunity, as the new Government settles in and debates about immigration policy continue. Despite the uncertain times, we are committed to continuing to challenge immigration detention in the UK.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Leadership**: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to drive organisational growth and impact.
- **Finance and Operations**: Oversee the financial management and operational efficiency of the organisation, ensuring effective use of resources.
- **People and Culture**: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting the well-being and development of staff.
- **Fundraising**: Identify and secure funding opportunities to support the organisation's mission and goals.
- **Policy and Communications**: Develop and implement effective policies and communications strategies to promote the organisation's work and influence immigration detention policy.
- **Legal Casework**: Oversee the delivery of high-quality legal casework, ensuring the rights of people in detention are protected.
- **Governance and Regulation**: Ensure the organisation's governance and regulatory compliance, maintaining the trust and confidence of stakeholders.
