Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to become a part of our Administration Team at Pennine Care NHS FT.

In this essential position, you will deliver comprehensive and confidential administrative support. The role is dynamic, engaging, and occasionally demanding, requiring a strong work ethic and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming visitors, children, and their families to our facility.
  • Managing telephone inquiries and providing appropriate responses.
  • Performing data entry, drafting, and formatting correspondence.
  • Scanning and uploading documents as necessary.
  • Assisting in the organization of meetings, including minute-taking.

You will be tasked with handling challenging telephone inquiries with diplomacy and sensitivity, ensuring that issues are directed to the appropriate staff member professionally.

With your prior experience in a busy office environment, you will demonstrate accuracy in your work and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Our team is welcoming, and the work is diverse and fulfilling.

Required Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE level education in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in typing and word processing.
  • Strong office management capabilities.

  • Shorthand qualification.

  • Familiarity with electronic patient record systems.
  • Extensive background in general office and secretarial work.
  • Experience in setting up computer files and databases.
  • Involvement in supporting audit activities.
  • Strong data management skills.
  • Experience in managing diaries.
  • Supervisory experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Familiarity with hospital record systems.
  • Detailed understanding of office systems.
