About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trust Fellow in Pediatric Critical Care to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a Trust Fellow, you will play a critical role in the management of critically ill children, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of pediatric critical care transports, including coordination, stabilization, and continuity of care.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to referring centers and accepting intensive care units.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality assurance projects to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to pediatric critical care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and transfer.
Requirements
  • Primary medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent)
  • Full GMC registration
  • MRCP, MRCPCH, or equivalent
  • Accreditation to The Royal Colleges of Paediatrics and Child Health and/or Anaesthesia or equivalent
  • Two years SpR equivalent training or equivalent 6 months experience in a tertiary PICU OR Higher paediatric anaesthesia training PICU experience
  • Experience of teaching and presenting
  • Experience of audit activities
  • Understanding of principles of clinical governance
