Role Overview

A vacancy has emerged for a bilingual Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Transaction Shared Service center.

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency of our finance department as our organization continues to expand.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee customer accounts, aiming to optimize cash flow, mitigate risks, and surpass performance indicators while ensuring that all receivables from both new and existing clients are collected in accordance with company policies and agreed payment terms.

We seek a proactive, determined, and ambitious individual with a genuine enthusiasm for Finance & Credit Management. The ideal candidate will exhibit a professional demeanor while maintaining a high level of accuracy and utilizing their expertise to enhance departmental efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a proactive approach to debt collection to achieve collection targets.
  • Keep precise records of follow-ups and payment commitments.
  • Seek guidance from your team leader to effectively resolve issues.
  • Assist colleagues with their workload as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reducing overdue debt days.
  • Eliminate non-value-added tasks from daily activities.
  • Manage and oversee the setup of new customer accounts, including establishing and monitoring credit limits.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Manage your own portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts in line with company policy.
  • Escalate issues promptly when necessary.
  • Collaborate with operational teams across the organization.
  • Provide support to managers on various projects as required.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficient in MS Excel is preferred but not required.
  • Proactive and ambitious mindset.
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Fluency in French is required.
