We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at EG Group. As a key member of our Transactional Shared Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth end-to-end sales process for our organization.

About the Role

This is a fast-paced and forward-thinking position that requires a strong analytical mind and excellent communication skills. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring the end-to-end cash process, investigating discrepancies, and communicating with stakeholders to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and investigate cash discrepancies, ensuring accurate and timely resolution
  • Import cash processing reports onto SAP, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Communicate and document discrepancy and forgery reports, escalating issues as necessary
  • Post debtors invoices and credit notes, allocating cash receipts to customer accounts
  • Reconcile cash and card GLs on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Post ad-hoc journals as required, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Monitor and escalate missing sales, investigating and resolving issues
  • Upload fuel sales and shop sales, investigating variances and discrepancies
  • Perform bank reconciliations on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and integrity
  • Sales reconciliation, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • General administration and other ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable role, preferably in a Shared Services environment
  • Excellent client and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, with a strong understanding of financial software and systems
  • Strong academic record and experience in Finance, with a focus on cash management and reconciliation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present and explain financial information to all levels of management
