About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caseworker to join our team at Victim Support. As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals affected by crime, helping them navigate the criminal justice system and access the resources they need to recover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Guidance: Provide emotional support and guidance to victims of crime, helping them understand their rights and entitlements.
  • Caseload Management: Manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, delivering excellent services and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Risk and Needs Assessments: Undertake risk and needs assessments to identify the specific needs of each client and develop effective support plans.
  • Advocacy and Information: Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process.
Requirements
  • Understanding of Crime Impact: Have a good understanding of the impact of crime on children and young people, including anti-social behavior, domestic abuse, sexual violence, and hate crime.
  • Effective Communication: Possess effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • IT Competence: Be proficient in using generic IT applications and have a basic understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
