About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Caseworker (CYP) to join our team at Victim Support. As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals affected by crime, with a focus on children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Guidance: Provide emotional support and guidance to service users, helping them to understand their rights and entitlements, and navigate the criminal justice system.
  • Caseload Management: Manage a caseload of service users, delivering high-quality support and services to meet their individual needs.
  • Risk and Needs Assessments: Conduct thorough risk and needs assessments to identify the specific needs of each service user, and develop effective support plans to address these needs.
  • Information and Advocacy: Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to understand and assert their rights, and navigate the criminal justice process.
Requirements
  • Understanding of Victim Support: Have a strong understanding of the impact of crime on children and young people, and the role of Victim Support in providing support and services.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with service users, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • IT Skills: Be competent in using generic IT applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
