About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Victim Support as a Caseworker in our Kent team. As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to victims of crime, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and interventions to help them cope with the impact of crime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver tailored support plans for victims of crime, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Provide emotional support and practical assistance to victims, helping them to understand their rights and entitlements.
  • Facilitate access to additional services, such as counseling, advocacy, and financial support.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement, social services, and other community organizations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the impact of crime on victims, including anti-social behavior, domestic abuse, sexual violence, and hate crime.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with victims and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership working.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and procedures, including the Victims Code of Practice.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable populations, including victims of crime.
