We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Caseworker to join our team at Victim Support. As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals affected by crime, ensuring they receive the help they need to navigate the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities- Support and Guidance: Provide emotional support and guidance to victims of crime, helping them to understand their rights and entitlements.
- Caseload Management: Manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, delivering excellent services and ensuring their needs are met.
- Risk and Needs Assessments: Conduct risk and needs assessments to identify the specific needs of each client, developing and implementing safety and support plans accordingly.
- Information and Advocacy: Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process.
- Understanding of Victim Support: Have a good understanding of the impact of crime on children and young people, including anti-social behavior, domestic abuse, sexual violence, and hate crime.
- Communication Skills: Possess effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- IT Competence: Be proficient in using generic IT applications, with the ability to learn new systems and software.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the organization.
