We are delighted to be recruiting for a children’s counsellor to work across phase in our school outreach provision with children (4 - 13-year-olds) who have been affected by sexual violence. Our current post holder will be moving in to a new role within the agency and we are looking for a smooth transition ready for taking on the outreach role fully in September. **Requirements for the post**:
CYP qualified counsellor,

Evidence of solid experience working with CYP who have experienced trauma,

Knowledge and experience of working with issues of rape and sexual abuse,

A commitment to identifying and challenging inequalities,

Membership of either BACP/UKCP/HCPC,

Experience of carrying out assessments and risk assessments,

Knowledge and experience of working in school settings,

Knowledge and experience of working with safeguarding and Child Protection issues,

Experience of working with traumatised individuals and their unique needs,

Knowledge and understanding of child development, transitions and mental health in the context of the impacts of rape and sexual abuse,

Experience of working with schools and multi-agency working processes,

Ability to establish and maintain ethical and professional working relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and a wide range of professionals,

Own car essential.

**General duties**:
Attend and participate in regular training, staff meetings, supervision and other service meetings as necessary within the EKRCC team,

Be committed to personal and professional development and undertake relevant training and CPD,

Maintain up to date knowledge on issues relevant to survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence,

To provide effective and safe case management,

To manage a trauma informed streamlined pathway between survivors and our services,

To provide administrative support to service teams.
