This is an exciting opportunity to join Victim Support as a Caseworker in our Kent team. As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to victims of crime, ensuring they receive the help and resources they need to recover and rebuild their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver tailored support plans for victims of crime, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Provide emotional support and practical assistance to victims, helping them to understand their rights and entitlements.
  • Facilitate access to additional services and resources, such as counseling, advocacy, and financial assistance.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement, social services, and community organizations.
  • Conduct holistic assessments of victims' needs, identifying areas where they require additional support or intervention.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the impact of crime on victims, including anti-social behavior, domestic abuse, sexual violence, and hate crime.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with victims and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership.
  • Proficiency in using generic IT applications, including case management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Successful track record of building effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
