About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caseworker to join our team at Victim Support. As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals affected by crime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Guidance: Provide emotional support and guidance to victims of crime, helping them to understand their rights and entitlements.
  • Caseload Management: Manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, delivering excellent services and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Risk and Needs Assessments: Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of clients in line with Victim Support's operating procedures.
  • Information and Advocacy: Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process.
Requirements
  • Understanding of Crime Impact: Have a good understanding of the impact of crime on victims, including anti-social behavior, domestic abuse, sexual violence, and hate crime.
  • Effective Communication: Possess effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • IT Competence: Be competent in using generic IT applications.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
