We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Sales Executive to join our team at Barrett Steel. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing customer expectations, increasing sales, and building long-term mutually beneficial relationships with our current and new customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strive to increase sales and secure profitable new market share and gross margin growth.
- Lead negotiations with potential customers and build relationships to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Process sales enquiries/orders and see all administration through to completion.
- Manage colleagues' sales ledgers during holidays and provide sales ledger cover where needed.
- Be an ambassador for high customer service standards that seek to build customer retention levels.

We are looking for a passionate, driven, and confident individual who can work collaboratively within our business. You will have a strong understanding of the sales process and be able to build relationships quickly.
Essential Skills:
- Previous business development/sales experience within a demanding sales environment, ideally steel related or within a construction background.
- A strong understanding of the sales process.
- Builds relationships quickly, has a proactive attitude & approach.
- Thrives off working to targets and KPI's.
- Can drive & has a full UK driving licence.
