Adele Carr Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join a Southport based client to support with the Payroll Processing and HR Administration within a and small HR team. This is a full time, permanent role within a longstanding client, with amazing flexibility and hybrid options.

This is a flexible working role - The successful Senior Payroll Administrator will be able to work from home or wherever is comfortable but will be expected to travel to visit company properties in Liverpool, Southport and on occasion Manchester for Company Meetings (Travel will be full reimbursed or a travel allowance will be paid)

**Salary & Benefits**:
Starting salary £28-£32k (DOE)

25 days annual leave + Bank holidays

Working hours of 9am-5pm Monday-Friday

Work flexibly - Head office based in Southport

Must be available for travel for company meetings to sites across Liverpool, Southport and Manchester

Travel will be full reimbursed

The Role -Senior Payroll Administrator

The Senior Payroll Administrator is part of a small team for processing the company's various payrolls accurately and on-time. The Senior Payroll will undertake all elements of payroll; from inputting data, processing, HMRC and pension submissions and notifications, payroll reconciliation and BACS processing. You will have extensive knowledge of payroll processes and procedures and will assist with providing payroll related advice, guidance and support to all employees and managers. You will collaborate and work closely with the HR Team.

Key Responsibilities

Administers and run all payrolls across the Company in accordance with operating procedures and deadlines ensuring that all payrolls are processed efficiently, effectively, accurately and are paid on time working to strict deadlines

Ensures starters and leavers are processed correctly and in a timely manner, and that all manual adjustments for sickness or other items are processed correctly

Validates all payroll data with home managers and HR prior to processing and ensure that submissions, including those to the general ledger, are correctly

Maintenance of all pension records in line with the regulations set out by the Pension schemes and the Company's requirements.

Completes and returns, payroll data to other third party organisations like HMRC, pension providers, courts and Child Support Agency

Responsible for accurate and complete year end processes and submissions including P11d's meeting strict deadlines set by HMRC

Being a senior point of contact, to ensure that queries and problems are resolved promptly, delivering excellent customer service standards

Collate and run relevant payroll and HR reporting for the Leadership Team

Mentoring and coaching the payroll administrator

Focus on the implementation of our HR and Payroll system (MHR's ITrent), so experience of this system is desirable.

Qualifications and Experience

Extensive experience working as a payroll professional within a busy and effective payroll/ finance/ HR department

Working knowledge of RTI and Auto Enrolment

Possess a basic knowledge of Benefit structure and taxation implications (pension,PMI,childcare vouchers, salary sacrifice)

Excellent systems experience including proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate level such as pivot tables and v look ups), Word, and PowerPoint.

Extensive experience with the operation and calculation of SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP, CSA and Court Orders

Experience in dealing with third parties such as the DWP, HMRC and Courts

Accurate and up to date knowledge of employment law in respect of payroll pension processing

3 years or more payroll experience

Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills

Ability to work on own initiative, a solution focused approach and attention to detail
