Payroll Administrator

Due to business growth we are looking for a Payroll Administrator dealing with weekly payroll processing working within the busy payroll department in the Head Office of a Homecare Group which is based in Southport.
This position would be ideal for someone with experience in a similar role wanting to join a friendly and enthusiastic payroll team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, duties will include some or all of the below
- Processing of weekly timesheets on our TM system for Payroll processing
- Checking all pay rates on our TM system are accurate prior to running of payroll
- Downloading payroll data from the TM system and uploading to payroll system
- Communicating with different divisions and branches regarding payroll
- Processing end to end weekly payroll via Brightpay
- Processing starters, leavers and calculating holiday pay
- Monitoring holidays, sickness and absences etc
- Running payslips
- Checking timesheets for payment adjustments
- Maintaining and reconciling company pension auto-enrolments
- Processing of P45's, P60's and statutory payments such as SSP, SMP & SPP
- Completing all Payroll year end requirements
- Previous payroll processing experience preferred but not essential if you have an administration background
- Must be a team player willing to go above and beyond
- Must be a self-starter, be able to cope under pressure, and rise to challenges - the weekly payroll is fast pased, process driven system
- Ability to multitask and prioritise work load essential
- Must be computer literate and must be able to prepare and use excel spreadsheets
- Experience of using Xero and/or Brightpay is preferred but not essential
- Able to use own initiative and work autonomously, as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
- Must be reliable, trustworthy and be able to work confidentially
- Must be hardworking and have the determination to get the job done
Compensation:
- Work hours will be full-time, office based, 37.5 hrs per week (timings to be agreed) with a salary of £23K to £26K (depending on experience).
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
