**About the role**
Our new communications strategy firmly positions the Communications division at the heart of Macmillan’s ambition to build awareness, relationships and trust with our key audiences, to help deliver our mission of doing whatever it takes to support people living with cancer.

To do this, we have created a new Communications Impact and Coordination Team within Macmillan to ensure that all communications projects, programmes and activities are aligned, driven by insight, and have impact to drive forward our strategic Communications objectives.

The Communications Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Communications division and a high-quality customer care service to the Communications Leadership Team. They will organise and support the day-to-day work of one or more teams within the Communications division, coordinate and support meetings and visits, and help track and process invoices and expenses, among other duties. They will also help coordinate planning across the Communications division and help make best use of the skills and experience held by colleagues, to support strategic communications objectives.

This role sits within the newly formed Communications Impact and Coordination team and is supported by the Senior Communications Impact and Coordination Manager, a fellow Communications Coordinator, and other colleagues.

To do this role successfully, you will have:

- Strong administrative experience
- Ability to communicate information in a clear and accessible way
- Ability to build and maintain good working relationships and build trust quickly with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and demonstrable ability to prioritise and work to deadlines in a multi-tasking environment
- A highly professional and discreet approach to screening and handling internal and external correspondence
- Understanding of the importance of data protection and confidentiality
