**SPID Theatre is looking for a committed Community Project Coordinator. This role will report to the Head of Youth Programmes.**

**Type of contract**:Fixed-Term (1 year)
**Salary**: £24336 per annum annum (36 hours a week)
**Holidays entitlement**:30 days (includes Bank Holidays)

**Working hours**:
Tuesdays: 11:30 - 19:30
Wednesdays: 11:00 - 19:00
Thursdays: 11:00 - 19:00
Fridays: 11:30 - 19:30
Saturdays: 10:30 - 18:30 (hours may vary depending on workshop days)

SPID Theatre is looking for a committed and experienced Community Project Coordinator. This role will report to the Head of Youth Programmes and is responsible for the workshop team (volunteers, facilitators, youth workers and workshop assistants) and for coordinating the sessions within SPID projects. **This role is based in Kensal House (W10 5BQ) in Ladbroke Grove, however due to refurbishment, this role is currently based in Treverton Tower Community Rooms, W10 6BG.**

Coordination Responsibilities:

- Lead the coordination of SPID theatre key projects: Estate Endz, Far Far Away, Estate Voices and SPID on the WEB and any other projects SPID might develop in the future
- Coordinate a team of at least 4 people, including: SPID Community Producer, workshop assistants, volunteers, facilitators
- Coordinate the project volunteer team including initial interviews, suitable tasks and evaluating volunteer experience
- Attend and share responsibility for chairing team meetings when necessary
- Oversee the recruitment of staff on projects with the Head of Youth
- Liaise with Marketing, Producer and Administration to coordinate shared tasks
- Provide feedback about the workshops during weekly meetings
- Administrate all aspects of the role, including filing and record keeping and reporting as required, sending a summary of the daily activities to the Head of Youth
- Monitor projects documentation
- Be prepared to work with online projects remotely
- Make sure the projects are developed within a strict budget

Outreach Responsibilities:

- Liaise with the Marketing and Outreach Manager and Producer and Community Outreach Officer on marketing strategies and outcomes
- Share responsibility with the Producer and Community Outreach Officer for developing and managing key relationships within the local community
- Oversee outreach activities such as taster workshops for local young people and community consultation sessions
- Attend Outreach activities as needed

Creative Responsibilities:

- Assist the Head of Youth to plan the Programme for each one of the projects, researching content and defining the outcomes according to the Programme
- Liaise with the Head of Youth Programmes on workshop content and approve them
- Share creative ideas in line with SPID’s mission and get approval from the Head of Youth Programmes
- Devise the creative content of performance workshops with the Head of Youth
- Coordinate a performance sharing at the end of each Far Far Away block

Project Schedules:

- Create, update and circulate project schedules
- Take responsibility for the timeline for each one of the projects and ensure that deadlines are fulfilled

Project Workshops:

- Facilitate workshop sessions when needed for young people aged 8 to 13 years old and 13 to 25 years old, including taster sessions for the community
- Attend and ensure the smooth running of all workshops, coordinating these
- Support guest professionals as they lead workshops in their area of expertise
- Share responsibility for running warm up and closing games at each session
- Attend project evaluation sessions
- Run staff feedback sessions at the end of each workshop
- Create weekly show reports for the sessions, circulate them
- Organise the final feedback for all events, performances and Programmes in a clear document that can be used for future planning
- Collate and review feedback from guest professionals
- Schedule and manage the running of key project events
- Coordinate the workshop assistants to ensure the set up, pack down and running of the workshops goes smoothly
- Be point of contact for freelancers hired for the workshop sessions and ensure they are fully briefed
- Ensure freelancer’s workshop plans are received on time, approved by the Head of Youth and provide feedback as necessary; then ensure that all members of the team receive the workshop plan in advance of the sessions

Project Performances and Events:

- Liaise with the Community Producer when production timelines start in order to make sure the needs of the young people are assessed
- Coordinate rehearsals and creative inputs for the performances or events with the Head of the Youth

Essential Skills
- A minimum of 2 years project coordinating experience
- A minimum of 2 years theatre directing experience
- Experience of coordinating multiple sets of large scale activity community programmes
- A minimum of 2 years experience working with young people aged 8-25
