A challenging and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Procurement and Supply Chain Team for a Procurement Specialist.

You will be responsible for:
- Procurement activity resulting from the strategic sourcing of goods and services under the Utilities Contract (Scotland) Regulations 2016.- Negotiating with suppliers to deliver cost savings and other benefits in support of PSC’s business plan targets.- Effective Supply Chain Management in order to build and maintain a cohesive and effective supply chain that is not only fully integrated with SW and its partners but delivers and exceeds the targeted value and efficiency in support of the business plan.- Managing and optimising business to business relationships (internally and within the supply chain)- Identification and management of risk and opportunities within your categories.- Process Management through diligent and effective use of existing processes, systems, and governance; ensuring audit and legal requirements are met.- Driving compliance to SW frameworks and supply chain management processes through analysis and interpretation of data, guidance and education for specific users.- Seeking and facilitating opportunities to drive and deliver further value for SW through its supply chain- Supporting the roll out of PSC’s digital transformation objectives

Success factors / skills required in this role include:
- Influencing - This includes stakeholders and suppliers at all levels with tailored engagement approaches- Eye for detail - Ensuring that procurement processes are followed, and documentation is completed effectively across commercial evaluations, reports, contract documentation etc.- Proactive approach - ‘can-do’ approach and energy is essential to ensure delivery of procurements and other tasks at pace and to a high quality.- Strategic Approach - The ability to see the wider value within each category and use procurement processes to maximise it, delivering the most fit-for purpose solution- Change Agent - The ability to bring stakeholders on PSC’s transformation journey as well as drive Scottish Water’s strategic objectives into the supply chain

It is beneficial for applicants to hold CIPS qualifications or be working towards MCIPS status.

SW Procurement operates a hybrid working model, there are set days in the office (The Bridge, Stepps) and for the rest of the week you may either work from home or from any SW office.

You can also expect:

The salary range for this role is £31,380 - £43,350 (dependent on your skills and experience)
