**What does a Direct Procurement Specialist do?**

The Whisky and Gin category, with emblematic brands such as DEWAR’S®, ABFERFELDY® and BOMBAY SAPPHIRE®, is one of the most dynamic and innovative portfolios for the Bacardi Group.The Direct Procurement Specialist is supporting the Senior Direct Procurement Manager on packaging topics across UK Supply brands. They are the representative of the procurement team on innovation projects and the first point of contact for selected packaging suppliers. They also collect strategic data and input to the Packaging categories’ sourcing strategies and needs to ensure systems are up-to-date.**About You**

**With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be**:
**Strategy Development and Ownership**
- With the support of the Senior Procurement Packaging Manager, provide input and feedback to Global Category Managers on sourcing strategy execution based on plant’s needs
- Define and implement sourcing strategy for plants specific materials, in alignment with relevant category manager
- Execute action plans for the plants in line with sourcing strategy

**Supplier Integration Programme**
- SIP specific project driver with support of Senior Procurement Packaging Manager
- Own local plants specific supplier relationships
- Facilitate Supllier Integration Programme to track supplier performance and feedback to category manager for consolidation
- Ensure that a supplier portfolio is developed considering business needs with regards to plants constraints, innovation, contingency, supply chain agility and sustainability
- Ensures preferred customer status with regards to pricing, supply chain

**Sourcing and development support**
- Deliver projects on time and in budget
- Ensures that supplier selection is compliant with policy and in line with global strategy
- Proactively identify capabilities and identifies suitable suppliers
- First level escalation in case of Packaging supply difficulties on UK Supply Chain products
- Support and consider Environmental Social Governance for categories

**Continuous improvement**
- Drives healthy Design To Value pipeline and delivers value creation targets for UK Supply Chain
- Contribute to optimize costs and services to generate economy of scale where possible
- Create strong internal relationship with internal stakeholders: (Planning, QA, NPD etc)
- Maintain and drive list of optimization actions: cost, quality, supply
- Continuously screens the local demand of packaging in order to identify sourcing optimization and / or issues

**Administration and reporting**
- Maintain accurate pricing in SAP
- Ensure compliance with all policies
- Ensure local contracts are dully signed and stored centrally
- Educate local colleagues on supplier’s industry constraints and work to define relevant operating models to minimize proactively disruptions

**P2P**
- Manage/maintain system for the SC Direct Procurement organization for your packaging categories
- Accountable for payment on time of all local Packaging suppliers through clear Outline Agreements and compliance with SAP contract in the plants

Skills and Experience

**The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy**

**Education**:

- Degree in Business / equivalent is desirable but not essential
- Level 4 CIPS Diploma desirable but not essential

**Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years+ in a direct procurement position desired but other experience considered
- FMCG background is desirable but not essential

**Languages**:

- Fluent English; other languages are an asset

**Functional Skills**:

- Solid understanding of strategic procurement
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Design and Planning (Maintain and develop process, anticipate consequences, build plans)
- Understanding of procurement budgeting
- Supply/ demand, forecasting understanding

**Technical Skills**:

- MS Office advanced (especially Excel)
- SAP, BI
