Advanced Clinical Practitioner: Geriatric Medicine

This role is an exciting new post developed to strengthen the senior clinical workforce within Geriatric Medicine. We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and experienced practitioner qualified to Masters level, with a passion for exemplary standards of practice and clear understanding of the medical, social and psychological complexities of frail older people. They will autonomously assess non-elective frail older patients including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, senior decision making and expert care, for patients providing appropriate clinical management plans and prescription of any medication required

They will initially work on the Geriatric base wards, under the supervision of a Geriatric Consultant. However there will be an opportunity to work within the acute frailty services at the front door.
