Joining a not-for-profit company with a community interest, you’ll be providing services to the NHS frontline within Urgent Care Centres, as well as Home Visiting Services around Leicestershire and surrounding areas.

**A day in the life of an Advanced Practitioner will involve**:

- To practice autonomously without direct supervision.
- To utilise advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, treat and refer patients requiring the clinical service, with 20-35 minutes per patient.
- To recognise the need for, initiate and where appropriate interpret relevant diagnostic investigations.
- To recognise the need for and initiate where appropriate advice of relevant specialisms.
- To exhibit excellent nonverbal and verbal communication skills when dealing with patients and carers. To have the ability to make clear decisions with confidence and communicate these effectively.
- You’ll be working within a GP lead, forward-thinking Urgent Treatment Centre that is committed to delivering high quality healthcare, offering a range of health services and information, as well as advice and treatment for a range of illnesses and minor injuries.

This is a full time role 37.5 hours per week, working 3-4 x 12 hour shifts over 7 days, with enhancement pay up to 45% for weekends and nights worked. 50% for any overtime

**Applicants should meet the following criteria**:

- Registered Adult Nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Paramedic registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Registered as an independent non-medical prescriber (V300)
- Hold an MSc in Advanced Practice
- Completed a minimum of 2 modules at Level 7, including Advanced Clinical Assessment

**Additional desirable skills**:

- ALS / PALS
- Cannulation and Venepuncture
- ECG recording and interpretation.
- Plastering Suturing and wound closure
- IRMER & X-Ray interpretation
- Pathology interpretation
- Telephone triage
