Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Adult ADHD Service team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with our Nurse Consultant and ADHD Nurse Specialists to provide high-quality care to individuals suspected of or confirmed with ADHD.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Exercise advanced clinical expertise and judgment in assessing individual patient needs, initiating investigations, and determining a differential diagnosis.
  • Develop and implement personalized clinical management plans, including independent prescribing, to ensure patients receive appropriate treatment and care.
  • Work collaboratively with medical and nursing staff in primary and secondary care to improve the quality of care and reduce avoidable delays.
  • Provide high-quality clinical supervision to ADHD nurse specialists and contribute to the development of a streamlined patient journey.

Requirements:

  • Independent prescribing qualification and knowledge of ADHD in adults.
  • Experience in working with individuals with complex needs and a strong understanding of the ADHD service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to demonstrate courageous and critical thinking, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
