About the Role

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Gynaecology team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with medical, nursing, midwifery, and allied health professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a professional resource for the multidisciplinary team, patients, and carers, ensuring evidence-based practice is inherent in all aspects of care and treatment.
  • Triage referrals independently or with medical, therapy, or other Advanced Clinical Practitioner colleagues, making onward referrals in line with Trust policies.
  • Be professionally accountable and legally responsible for all aspects of your work, including the management of patients within your scope of practice.
  • Participate in the provision of specialist advice on patient care to the healthcare team and act as a specialist resource within the service.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate assessment and treatment records, communicating assessment and treatment results to the appropriate disciplines.
Requirements
  • Clinical-based master's degree or equivalent.
  • Masters-level education that meets the requirements of the national framework for Advanced Level Practice.
  • Study/knowledge relevant to the specialty.
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and act as an independent practitioner.
  • Autonomous management of your patient load in a ward-based or clinic environment.
  • Experience in policy and protocol development, implementation, and influencing service changes.
  • Significant experience in a specialist or practitioner post at Band 8a, with knowledge and skills that can be accredited or mapped against the essential criteria of this role.
