We are looking for an individual who has worked in a Finance environment and / or who is working towards their Level 2 AAT qualification or equivalent to join our exciting Finance team of 5. We are passionate around development and training and for those that wish to progress further with AAT or equivalent we will be more than willing to fund these additional qualifications.

As a Finance Assistant for the Clipper Quba group, you will play a key role in posting daily transactions to the finance system, to assist in preparation of monthly management accounts. In addition to supporting the Financial Controller to ensure deadlines are met, financial procedures followed, and tasks are completed within the Finance function of the group.

Key Responsibilities:

- Record financial transactions to assist in creation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and monthly journals.
- Create and review financial statements and reports, to ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.
- Process payments to suppliers.
- Assist with sales and purchase ledger reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of various inter-company nominal accounts.
- Bank account reconciliation for various currencies.
- Weekly reporting of relevant financial data to external financial intermediary.
- Create and process weekly margin for Quba agencies, ensuring any queries dealt with in a timely manner.
- Assist in creation of company budgets.
- Prepare year-end data as required for the annual audit.
- Answer queries and aid customers and clients as needed.

Essential Skills / Requirements:

- Desire to learn and gain AAT qualification.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- Analytical and numerical abilities.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Excel/Outlook/Word.

Desirable Skills / Experience:

- Knowledge/Experience using SAGE 200 Accounts software.
- Previous experience in a finance environment.
- Obtained AAT Level 2 qualification.

We’re offering a full-time salary of £21,000 per annum, with access to a fantastic range of employee benefits:
