Are you looking for a rewarding career as a Recovery Worker in substance misuse?

As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team to identify how we can help. You will develop plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be. There will be assessments to carry out and records you need to keep and update, that's all part of our professional commitment and service to our clients and commissioners.

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, enthusiastic, motivated, caring and creative, ideally with experience/ interest in working in a substance misuse environment.

You will be working within a highly skilled and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team who will support you in your development and your ability to deliver the best care you can to our service users. We are determined and always professional in our approach to each and every case and we never judge - we're just here to help.

The Lambeth Consortium is delivered in partnership with South London and Maudsley Trust, We Are With You, Humankind and Phoenix Futures. We are located in Brixton and just a 5-minute walk from the tube, overground and numerous bus routes.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. The salary for this position is £22,687 - £31,762 per annum plus an Inner London Weighting of £2759 per annum.

You will work as part of a team to support clients recovery through:

- creating a plan they can achieve with your support
- checking in with them and reviewing their progress
- understanding your clients
- keeping them safe
- keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them
- working effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery
- continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:
To be successful in this Recovery Worker role, you will:

- have attained/ be working towards NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification
- have some experience of working in a health, social care, or a related setting
- have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike
- be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed
- be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise your work
- have good oral and written communication skills
- be comfortable using IT and digital media
- be organised and able to manage your time effectively
- able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion
- be happy to support other With You locations when needed
- meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
