We have a unique opportunity to be involved North Wales Police Investigative Training and Development Centre for an **Operational Force** **Trainer**. You’ll be joining on a permanent contract within an organisation that will truly support your success in the workplace. This role is temporary until 31/03/2025.

We are looking for an individual who should be confident and professional when delivering training to large groups of individuals and be innovative to ensure the training delivery is always engaging.

As part of a dedicated and committed team you will be involved in the delivery of training to ensure that the quality of Investigations within North Wales Police are to the highest standards and integrity, ensuring successful outcomes are achieved through the criminal justices system for the public of North Wales.

**What does the Operational Force Trainer role entail?**

You will be responsible for the delivery of numerous training programmes including Personal Safety Training, First aid, Taser, Method of Entry, CBRN, Special Constable Training. Taking lead on projects to be developed using the appropriate training programmes and materials.

Other duties of the Force Trainer will include, but not be limited to;
- To be responsible for the design and delivery of training materials and documentation.
- To be responsible for the delivery of Personal Safety Training, First Aid, Taser, Method of Entry, Public Order Evening training), CBRN, Special Constable training. Special Constable Training will involve weekend working
- To support and contribute to the development of systems and structures which promote fairness and therefore help in the retention and progression of individual staff.
- To be responsible for the delivery of Investigative Training and Development.

What will I need for the **Operational Force Trainer** Role?

The role requires applicants who can demonstrate (with evidence) skills in the following areas:

- For the qualified role - Possess a Cert. Ed or equivalent qualification or a Level 4 Learning & Development Qualification (TDP)(Police Equivalent).
- For the unqualified role - Possess a PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector), Award in Education and Training, or equivalent Level 3 training qualification, and work towards completion of Level 4 Learning & Development Qualification (TDP)(Police Equivalent). Training Plan for Unqualified to Qualified role will require studying for and achievement of the Level 4 Learning & Development Qualification (TDP)(Police Equivalent).
- Proven experience of working in a Personal Safety Training delivery role, including experience of training design & delivery, briefing and presentation/trainer skills.
- The ability to travel across the Force area is required. Possession of a full driving licence may therefore assist with this.
- Thorough knowledge of Data Protection, Computer Misuse and other relevant computer policies and legislation.

**DESIRABLE**:

- Evidence of training and development over the past 2 years.
- Proven and recent history of working in operational policing/operational policing training and development.

Occasional Weekend Working is a requirement
